Owners and admins (members see a note instead).
- Reminders for human steps: when a step's owner is reminded and their backup told.
- How freely engineers act: whether a change through a connected tool waits for an admin's approval in Slack. Careful: every change waits. Balanced (the default): ordinary changes run; engineers still ask before deleting anything, changing DNS or security settings, touching secrets or keys, changing access, touching billing, or changing production when no one has approved a production step in the delivery. Autonomous: as Balanced, but DNS, security settings and production changes run too. Every change is in the audit log either way, and engineers can never force-push, merge pull requests or reveal secrets.
- Who can instruct your engineers: what happens to an action that needs approval when a team member asks for it somewhere nobody can click approve (portal chat, pull requests).
- Scheduled digests: an engineer posts a round-up to a Slack channel on a schedule (see "Set up a scheduled digest").
- Message limits: how many messages one person can send the engineers (Slack and portal combined): 20 a minute and 300 a day unless changed. Owners and admins can set other numbers or turn it off. Stopping an engineer is never counted. Someone over the limit is told when they can carry on.
Owner only: Download data export (everything the workspace holds, as one JSON file, never secrets or tokens) and Offboard workspace (type the workspace slug to confirm). Offboarding stops all work, retires all engineers and revokes every connection's access. Thirty days later the workspace's data is deleted (billing records are kept as the law requires). Until then the workspace can be restored: email [email protected].
