How-tos
Send an engineer a file (portal or Slack)
In a chat, click the paperclip, paste a screenshot (Ctrl/Cmd+V), or drop files onto the message
box. Each file uploads straight away and shows as a chip; send your message as usual (a message
can be just files). The engineer opens them itself, so you can ask "what's wrong on this screen?"
or "build this from the attached spec". Images, PDFs, text, CSV, JSON, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
zip files work, up to 4 MB each in the portal and 5 per message. Pasting a long log or document (over 8,000 characters) in
the portal attaches it as a text file automatically. Files are deleted when the chat
ends. In Slack, share the file in your message to the engineer: in a channel or thread, mention
@YourEngineers in the same message; in a DM, just send it. Slack files can be up to 25 MB. A file
sent in the thread of a delivery that's already running doesn't reach the engineers yet.
