Designing a delivery workflow

Rules the editor enforces on save

At least one step. Every step has a name, a unique positive order and a known action.
An Agent role step must name a role (or auto).
At least one step must end the pipeline (on-success = Complete pipeline).
Every route must point to an existing step.
Every step must be reachable from the first step (or from the shared-finish step).
An agent Custom step needs instructions.
"Who gets the work" may only name roles that can do that work.
The shared-finish step must exist in the workflow.
You can't save a change that removes or renumbers a step a running delivery is on. The error names the deliveries. Wait for them, or Duplicate the workflow and edit the copy.
The default workflow can't be archived (make another the default first). An archived workflow can't be the default. Reset to template isn't available for a workflow built from scratch.
Making a different workflow the default doesn't move deliveries already running.
